Color Shaper is a precision color grading DCTL toolkit from MonoNodes designed to select and modify individual hue ranges inside DaVinci Resolve Studio. It provides targeted control over hue, saturation, density, and luminance while allowing adjustments to be restricted to specific shadow, midtone, or highlight regions.

Unlike traditional qualifier-based selections, Color Shaper uses curve-based functions that gradually reduce the effect away from the selected center. This creates smoother, more natural transitions without requiring extensive mask refinement.

WORKFLOW

For hue selection, Center determines the target hue while Range controls how broadly neighboring hues are affected.

Luma Low / High and Luma Range can then restrict the adjustment according to brightness, allowing the selected color to be modified primarily in shadows, midtones, or highlights.

When using multiple Color Shaper DCTLs, MonoNodes recommends placing them in parallel nodes for optimal results.
