TERMS OF SERVICE

INTRODUCTION

Introduction

Welcome to EditBox.

These Terms of Service set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities that apply when you visit the website, register an account, download resources, use Membership, or use services provided on EditBox.

By accessing or continuing to use EditBox, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and the related policies published on the website.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please stop using the service.

1. SERVICE SCOPE

EditBox is a platform that provides access to creative resources, Membership, digital services, and tools that support filmmaking, design, and content creation.

Depending on the time and offering, the service may include:

  • Digital resources such as LUTs, SFX, VFX, presets, templates, plugins, and similar content.
  • Resource access under individual Membership plans.
  • Digital services or access to third-party products and services.
  • Tools that support downloads, resource management, and account management.
  • Other services that EditBox publishes directly on the website.

Prices, terms, benefit scope, and applicable conditions are determined by the information displayed when the user makes a transaction.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND LICENSES

2.1. Third-party resources

Unless expressly stated otherwise, EditBox does not claim ownership of third-party brands, software, LUTs, SFX, VFX, plugins, templates, presets, or other resources.

The fact that a resource is accessible through EditBox does not mean that intellectual-property ownership or a commercial license for that resource is transferred to the user.

Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with the license, terms of use, and restrictions published by the author or rights holder before using a resource commercially, redistributing it, or using it for any other purpose.

2.2. Service fees and Membership

Registering for or activating Membership on EditBox is entirely voluntary.

Before paying, users are responsible for reviewing the price, term, benefits, and permitted scope of the relevant Membership plan.

Membership fees are used to maintain and improve EditBox, including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and upgrading servers, bandwidth, and technical infrastructure.
  • Paying for domains, data storage, and services required to operate the website.
  • Improving access speed, stability, security, and the user experience.
  • Developing, maintaining, and upgrading platform features.

Membership fees pay for service use and platform access within the subscribed plan; they are not payments for ownership of third-party resources.

Activating Membership does not by itself transfer:

  • Intellectual-property ownership of a resource.
  • The right to resell or redistribute it.
  • The right to sublicense it to a third party.
  • A commercial license, unless the specific resource terms state otherwise.

2.3. EditBox brands and content

EditBox names, logos, interfaces, source code, editorial content, and other owned components are protected by the corresponding rights.

Users may not copy, impersonate, or use the EditBox brand in a way that could confuse its origin, partnership, or endorsement.

3. USER ACCOUNTS

Users are responsible for:

  • Keeping their login information secure.
  • Not sharing or transferring account access without authorization.
  • Not using an account to evade system limits or safeguards.
  • Notifying EditBox when they detect unusual activity involving the account.

EditBox may apply verification measures or limit access when there is a reasonable basis to believe that an account is being abused or used in violation of these Terms.

4. PAYMENT AND SERVICE DELIVERY

Before paying, users are responsible for checking:

  • The product or service plan.
  • The price.
  • The usage term.
  • The scope of benefits.
  • Software or system requirements.
  • Compatibility.
  • Related terms of use.

After a transaction is confirmed, the system may automatically:

  • Activate Membership.
  • Grant access to resources.
  • Record the corresponding balance or benefit.
  • Start or complete the purchased digital service.

5. REFUND POLICY

Because digital content and services may be activated, granted, or downloaded immediately after payment, transactions that have been successfully delivered are generally not eligible for a refund unless EditBox agrees or applicable law provides otherwise.

Ordinary circumstances that are not grounds for a refund include:

  • Buying the wrong product or service plan.
  • Changing one’s needs after purchase.
  • Not carefully reviewing product information.
  • Not knowing how to use the product or service.
  • An incompatible device or software where compatibility requirements were disclosed.
  • The user has received access, downloaded, or used the service.

If a paid transaction does not provide the agreed benefit because of a confirmed EditBox error, the user may contact support for review and remediation.

6. PAYMENT DISPUTES AND CHARGEBACKS

EditBox encourages users to contact support before opening a dispute with a bank or payment provider in cases such as:

  • Payment succeeded but Membership was not activated.
  • A benefit or balance was not recorded.
  • A resource or service cannot be accessed.
  • A transaction was recorded with the wrong status.

Contacting support first gives EditBox an opportunity to investigate and fix technical issues quickly.

When a dispute arises, EditBox may provide a bank, payment gateway, or dispute-resolution provider with evidence needed to verify service delivery and use.

The handling or disclosure of dispute-related data is carried out under EditBox’s Privacy Policy.

If there is a reasonable basis to believe that an account intentionally committed fraud, falsely claimed non-delivery after receiving a service, or abused chargebacks, EditBox may:

  • Temporarily freeze the account during verification.
  • Revoke access related to the disputed transaction.
  • Restrict new transactions.
  • Suspend or terminate the account when serious misconduct is verified.

Measures are applied according to the seriousness of the conduct and to the extent permitted by law.

7. FAIR USE POLICY

EditBox is designed for reasonable use by individuals, creators, and organizations.

Users may not:

  • Use a scraper, bot, or automated tool to collect or download resources in bulk without permission.
  • Intentionally bypass download limits or system safeguards.
  • Share, sell, or rent a Membership account without authorization.
  • Organize a group buy contrary to the service conditions.
  • Re-upload or redistribute resources in a way that violates an author’s or rights holder’s rights.
  • Exploit vulnerabilities or intentionally interfere with system operation.
  • Use EditBox for fraudulent or unlawful activity.

EditBox may apply limits, rate limits, additional verification, or other technical measures needed to protect resources and infrastructure.

8. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

EditBox may temporarily restrict, suspend, or terminate access when there is a reasonable basis to believe that an account:

  • Seriously or repeatedly violates these Terms.
  • Engages in payment fraud.
  • Abuses resources or bandwidth.
  • Intentionally bypasses security measures.
  • Seriously affects the system or other users.

For serious violations, remaining benefits may be revoked to the extent permitted by these Terms and applicable law.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Some EditBox features depend on third-party platforms and providers, such as:

  • Google Drive.
  • Telegram.
  • Discord.
  • Payment providers.
  • Email providers.
  • Cloud-service providers.
  • Digital services distributed through external providers.

These services operate under each provider’s own terms, policies, and technical limits.

EditBox does not fully control policy changes, service limits, account suspensions, or infrastructure incidents caused by third parties.

For services involving user data, users should maintain appropriate backups and should not treat a single third-party service as their only storage solution.

10. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

EditBox works to keep the system stable but does not promise that the service will operate continuously or without interruption at all times.

The system may be temporarily unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance or upgrades.
  • Technical or network incidents.
  • Incidents involving infrastructure providers.
  • Cyberattacks.
  • Changes or incidents involving third-party services.
  • Events beyond EditBox’s reasonable control.

EditBox will take reasonable measures to restore the service when an incident occurs.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, EditBox is not responsible for damage arising primarily from:

  • The user’s use of resources contrary to the owner’s license.
  • The user’s failure to back up necessary data.
  • The user’s incompatible device or software.
  • Third-party conduct outside EditBox’s direct control.
  • A third-party provider changing its policies or limits, suspending service, or stopping service.
  • Force-majeure events or infrastructure incidents beyond reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.

12. COPYRIGHT REPORTS AND TAKEDOWN REQUESTS

EditBox respects the intellectual-property rights of authors and rights holders.

If you believe that a resource on EditBox infringes your rights, you may submit a review and takedown request through the official support channels.

A request should include:

  • Information identifying the sender or rights holder.
  • The specific EditBox URL containing the material to review.
  • Information identifying the original work or resource.
  • Documents, URLs, or reasonable information showing ownership or authority to act.
  • Contact information so EditBox can respond and verify the request.

After receiving a request with the necessary information, EditBox will review it and may:

  • Remove or disable access to the content.
  • Request additional evidence.
  • Contact relevant parties for verification.
  • Take other appropriate measures depending on the circumstances.

Valid requests will be prioritized for processing within a reasonable time after verification is completed.

13. PRIVACY POLICY

This Terms page does not repeat matters concerning the collection, use, storage, and protection of personal data.
