ABOUT THIS RESOURCE
Description
BeatEdit for DaVinci Resolve is a music beat-detection tool by mamoworld designed to identify beats accurately and help editors cut video and music directly inside DaVinci Resolve. Instead of relying on waveform inspection and manually guessing suitable edit points, BeatEdit analyzes the music, detects its main beats, and represents them through markers, beat-click audio, or subtitles. It can also assist with restructuring a music track to make it longer, shorter, or rearranged while keeping cuts aligned to musically appropriate beat positions.
KEY FEATURES
• Automatically analyzes music and detects the main beats, providing clear reference points for video and audio edits.
• Creates color-coded markers so editors can distinguish and select useful beats directly on the timeline.
• Offers four ways to work with detected beats in DaVinci Resolve: Timeline Markers, Clip Markers, Audio Beat Clicks, and Subtitles.
• Audio Beat Clicks work like a metronome and are recommended by mamoworld when editing the music itself. Resolve can place markers only on frames, while beat-click audio makes it possible to locate cuts with sub-frame accuracy.
• Supports beat-synchronized editing for music videos, trailers, promos, montages, highlights, social videos, and other projects where visual pacing is driven by a soundtrack.
• Helps make music tracks longer or shorter by cutting at appropriate beats, allowing transitions between sections to sound more seamless.
• Music sections can be rearranged so a beat drop or other important musical event occurs at the desired point in the edit.
• BeatEdit uses a professional beat-detection algorithm developed by researchers at the University of Porto and the University of Victoria.
