Split/Tone is a professional DCTL toolkit for creating split-tone looks in DaVinci Resolve Studio, developed by PixelTools in collaboration with KaurH. It provides independent tonal color control across shadows, midtones, and highlights, making it possible to create combinations such as warm highlights and cool shadows without shifting the entire image off balance.

Pro version 2.1.0 provides four DCTL plug-ins built around RGB and Hue color models. The Basic variants use an S-Curve for fast split-toning, while the Advanced variants use Bezier curves for more precise control over tonal regions and transitions.

Uses the RGB model with an S-Curve for fast and efficient tinting of highlights and shadows.

RGB AND HUE MODES

The RGB model performs split-toning through color-channel adjustments and provides a direct approach to traditional tonal color separation.

Visual Ramp and Curve overlays provide immediate feedback while building a look, helping identify exactly where tinting is being introduced across the tonal range.
