Split Studio is a Premiere Pro panel designed to build split-screen edits without manually nesting every clip and adjusting Scale and Position layer by layer. Its workflow follows three core steps — Crop, Compose, and Apply — allowing you to select the desired source framing, arrange cells visually, and let Split Studio build the finished nested sequence automatically.

The panel uses two dedicated viewers: a Source Viewer for cropping directly from sequence footage and an Output Viewer for composing the final layout. Crops and cells remain independent, so resizing or repositioning a cell does not alter its source crop.

14 LAYOUT PRESETS

Split Studio includes 14 presets covering layouts such as Reaction, Gameplay + Facecam, Podcast, Picture in Picture, Before/After, Dual PiP, Top/Bottom, Left/Right, Triple, Four Grid, and Side Stack. Presets can be customized further or used as starting points for your own layouts.

• Crop – Select the desired framing from the original footage
• Compose – Position and adjust cells in the output frame
• Keyframe – Change layouts across the timeline when needed
• Apply – Build a nested sequence with Scale and Position automatically configured

The preview is designed to match the applied result. Framing uses Premiere Pro's Scale and Position controls rather than Motion Crop, helping nested sequences maintain the intended composition.
